About this tool
Morse Code represents letters, numbers and punctuation as sequences of dots (.) and dashes (-), originally transmitted as radio or light signals. Developed in the nineteenth century for telegraphy, it remains in use in aviation, amateur radio and as an internationally recognized emergency protocol.
This tool converts in both directions automatically. If you type regular text — letters and numbers — the output is the corresponding Morse, with words separated by slashes (/). If you type dots and dashes, the tool recognizes the Morse format and converts it back to text. Beyond the text result, you can listen to the Morse sequence played via audio synthesis in the browser, copy the result, or open the full reference table with the code for each letter.

How does automatic mode detection work?
The tool checks whether the input contains only dots, dashes, spaces and slashes. If so, it interprets it as Morse and converts to text. Otherwise, it converts text to Morse.
Which characters are supported?
Letters A through Z, digits 0 through 9, and the main punctuation marks (. , ? ! / ( ) @ + - = : ; ' " $ &). Accented characters have no equivalent in the international Morse standard.
