About this tool
The WiFi QR Code generator creates a code that, when scanned with a smartphone camera, automatically connects the device to the configured wireless network — without the user needing to type the network name or password. The tool builds the string in the standard `WIFI:T:WPA;S:...;P:...;H:...;;` format, natively recognized by iOS (from version 11) and Android (from version 10).
To use it, enter the **network name (SSID)**, select the **encryption type** (WPA/WPA2, WEP or no password) and provide the **password** if applicable. If the network does not broadcast its SSID publicly, enable the "hidden network" toggle. The QR Code is generated instantly and can be downloaded as a PNG to print or share digitally.
The most common use cases are: providing WiFi access for guests at accommodations without writing the password on post-it notes, creating a QR Code for office, restaurant and café receptions, facilitating IoT device onboarding to a home network, and preparing presentation materials for events with temporary networks.
All processing happens in the browser. Your network password is not sent to any external server. No account or installation is required.

Which smartphones can scan the QR Code to connect to WiFi?
iPhones running iOS 11 or later can read WiFi QR Codes with the native camera app. Android devices running Android 10 or later also offer native support. On older versions, a QR Code reader app may be needed.
Should I use WPA or WEP?
Use WPA/WPA2, which is the current secure standard. WEP is an outdated and vulnerable protocol and is strongly discouraged. If your router still uses WEP, consider updating its security settings.
