About this tool

EPUB to PDF converts digital books in EPUB format into a PDF file ready for reading, printing, or sharing. The book's text is reused as real, selectable text in the PDF (not as an image), preserving bold, italics, headings, and internal links between chapters.

To use it, upload your .epub file and choose a page size: A5 (a compact format, ideal for reading on tablets and phones), A4 (standard for printing), or Letter. You can also choose line spacing — compact to fit more text per page, or normal for more comfortable reading. Click convert and watch the progress chapter by chapter; the final PDF generation step runs in the background, without freezing the page.

This conversion is useful for anyone who received an e-book in EPUB but prefers reading it in a PDF viewer, wants to print specific chapters, or needs a more universal format to share with people who don't have an e-book app installed. It also works well for course material, handouts, and newsletters originally distributed as EPUB.

The tool processes the cover, internal images, and the book's formatting, automatically carrying over styles like italics, bold, and text alignment extracted from the EPUB's original CSS. Books protected by DRM (Adobe DRM, for example) cannot be converted — this is a technical limitation, since the content is encrypted and cannot be read by the browser. Fixed-layout books (such as comics and illustrated children's books, where each page is a fixed image) are also not supported at this time, as the result would come out with distorted formatting.

The entire conversion happens locally, in your browser. The EPUB file is never sent to any server — everything, from reading the book to generating the final PDF, runs on your own device.

Frequently asked questions

Is the tool free?

Yes, free with no sign-up and no usage limit.

Is my EPUB uploaded to a server?

No. The entire conversion happens in the browser, on your device. The original file never leaves your machine.

Does the tool work with any EPUB?

It works with most text-based EPUBs. Books with DRM (copy protection) cannot be converted, since the content is encrypted. Fixed-layout books (comics, illustrated children's books) are also not supported at this time.

Which page size should I choose?

A5 is the default and ideal for reading on screens and tablets. A4 and Letter are better if you plan to print the PDF.

Do internal links in the book (table of contents, footnotes) still work in the PDF?

Yes. Links between chapters and internal references from the EPUB are preserved and remain clickable in the generated PDF.

Can I cancel the conversion of a large book?

Yes. A cancel button is available throughout the conversion process.
