Crop Image

Crop images by selecting the desired area. Simple and direct in the browser.

100% local processing. Your data never leaves your computer

About this tool

Crop Image lets you select and isolate any region of a photo or image directly in the browser. Simply load a file, click and drag to define the crop area, adjust the edges as needed, and download the result as a PNG.

The interface shows the original image with an overlay where you draw the crop rectangle. You can reposition and resize the selection with precision before confirming. There is no forced fixed aspect ratio — the crop is freeform, giving you complete freedom to extract any region of the image.

Common uses: removing unwanted borders or elements from photos, extracting a face or object from a larger image to use in presentations, isolating a part of a screenshot to highlight relevant information, preparing square thumbnails for social media from landscape photos, and cropping screenshots to show only the area of interest in documentation or tutorials.

Processing is done by the browser's Canvas. No data is sent to servers, no account creation is required, and the tool works even without an internet connection after the initial page load.
